Pink in the rink supporting breast cancer research and awareness with the Rockford IceHogs

Pink in the Rink Night with the Rockford IceHogs

If you are looking for something fun to do this weekend, why not check out the Rockford IceHogs.  Think pink this weekend as the Rockford IceHogs will host their 4th Annual “Pink In The Rink Night” on Saturday when the IceHogs take on the Grand Rapids Griffins at the BMO Harris Bank Center at 7:05 p.m. The ice will be painted pink for the game and the players will be wearing their special pink jerseys to support breast cancer research and awareness.  All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the Mary Kay Foundation and American Cancer Society through the IceHogs Charitable Foundation.The jerseys will be put into a blind silent auction to help raise funds for breast cancer research.  The blind silent auction will open at 6 p.m. on Saturday and bids will be accepted until the end of the second period. Bids can be placed behind section 124 and the winners will be announced in the third period. Winning bids will get an opportunity to get their jersey autographed following the game and receive a pair of the game worn socks.  Two of the jerseys will also be raffled off during the game and raffle tickets will be available for $5 per ticket or five tickets for $20.


Also on Saturday, the first 5,000 fans to the BMO Harris Bank Center will receive an IceHogs pink rally towel and pink neon glow bracelet courtesy of Dickerson & Nieman Realtors, Ferrellgas, Metropolitan
Title Agency and Rasmussen College.
